SUSTAINABILITY AND QUALITY
Sustainability is not a finish line, it is a constant work in process.
Our philosophy is based on slow living, since great quality requires time and patience. We believe that we cannot develop a high quality product without having sustainability at the heart, from ideation, choice of partners, materials and processes.
We aim to progress, experiment and learn from scientists, nature and our community, making changes and looking for better solutions during the process.
We strive to use non-harmful ingredients while revolutionising the foundation of clothes functionality, which means we had to invest and idealize a new fiber (G-cotton) that would be the ultimate conduit for all the ingredients to penetrate the skin and at the same time be friendly to the environment.
We went through an extensive research to create the ultimate fabric composition that would be breathable, comfortable, sustainable and most importantly capable of maintaining our antioxidant complex properties.
We’ve developed a unique performance fabric blending a personalised recipe of materials, science and nature intertwined.
[55% Hemp + 23% Organic Cotton + 22% G-cotton (Cotton+Copper)]
This naturally planet-friendly fiber is produced with little water, mainly rain-fed, minimal pesticides or synthetic fertilizers and very little waste. The roots of the hemp plant have the capability to dig deep into the soil absorbing pollutants and replenishing nutrients. Its cultivation has a low negative impact on the environment.
Our organic cotton is GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified. This certification was developed by leading standard setters to define world-wide recognised requirements for organic textiles. From the harvesting of the raw materials to environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing, textiles certified with GOTS provide a credible assurance to you.
As we disclosed in our technology, we catalyze our natural (100% virgin) cotton with copper oxide transforming it into a biocidal beauty fiber, keeping our clothes fresher and reducing the frequency of washes. Less water, less detergent, less energy. 100% of all water and remaining compounds used during this process are recycled for complete waste management.
Our smart fabric reduces wash frequency. Less water, less detergent, less energy.
Every single detail in our garments was meticulously selected by our team:
We use personalised buttons created with corozo, a 100% natural and biodegradable material which comes from the nuts of the Tagua trees. There is no deforestation or unethical intervention in its sourcing.
The interlining and the elastic bands are made of 100% recycled materials and our brand size and care labels are assembled from 100% recycled polyester.
The envelope tag is made of 100% recycled and recyclable paper.
The string is made of 100% organic cotton and the seal is made from cornstarch, a natural, compostable and eco-friendly material.
Our packaging is made of 100% recyclable paper.
Portugal is not only our creative hub but also the country chosen to manufacture all our clothes. The westernmost point of Europe has a long tradition of exceptional craftsmanship in the textile industry. Besides the know-how, credited quality standards and experienced artisans, the country possesses an extensive portfolio of the finest fabrics and raw materials.
The factories bringing our pieces to life assemble the garments with the most advanced, sustainable and ethical processes in the industry, and are compliant with strict labour laws.
Since we believe in a non wasteful approach we produce our collections in small batches, creating what is really necessary and staying true to what we believe in: slow living.
